Bear and Bug

I drew the original pencil sketch for this watercolour October last during my recent exhibition.

I was havin' a busy and stressful day, so escaped for a half an hour and went for a walk down the canal in Galway.

It was a beautifully sunny day as I remember, so I sat for a while just listening to the water flowing. This little green insect crawled onto my hand and just sat for a while. He was minuscule. So so tiny in comparison to my awkward bulk.

When he left I took out a piece of paper and drew this quickly. I came across the drawing the last day and watercoloured it up!

Thanks a lot...watercolours are so so tricky. Personally I suck at them too! There are some true masters out there I aspire to be even remotely as good as! Keep up the great work yourself. I really like the dog fight pictures you did!
